Here are some pictures from our little trip to Montclair, NJ the home of........

Yankee Stadium opened in 1923. While Ruth didn't actually build it, here are drawings from the original plans.

The Yankees began their championships in the 1920s with Babe Ruth and continued in the 1930s with Lou Gerhig.
I need this for my collection! A ball autographed by Babe Ruth and Lou Gerhig.

One of Yogi's early teammates was Joe DiMaggio. In 1946 Joe set the record for the longest hitting streak by hitting in 56 straight games. This section has pictures of DiMaggio and one of the bats he used during his hitting streak.

Three pieces of memorabilia from Yogi's career. His uniform and glove, one of his MVP awards and the glove he used to catch Don Larsen's World Series Perfect Game. The glove was bronzed and given to Yogi by Yankee equipment manager, Pete Sheehy. Sheehy served in that role from 1927-1985 when he died. The Yankees clubhouse is named in his memory as "Keeper of the Pinstripes".

Throughout the 1950s the big debate in New York was who was the better centerfielder...Willie, Mickey or the Duke.

Display for the current Yankees. Uniforms shirts of Derek Jeter (2), Roger Clemens(22) and Mariano Rivera(42).

The World Series trophies from 1996 (Braves), Padres(1998) and the Braves again (1999).

Yogi's championship rings. He has 10 as a player and the others as coach or manager.

Baseball's All-Century Team named in 1999.

Display of David Cone's Perfect Game on Yogi Berra Day. Both Yogi and Don Larsen were present that Sunday.
